I was waiting to write my review on this until I got a migraine & could test it out in a real world situation but (thankfully) I haven't gotten one since I got this mask. But the mask itself is very nice quality. The whole mask, 360° is made with the gel material, while the eye section has a little more gel & is molded for your eye area (inner photo attached for reference). The mask is pretty heavy, but it makes sense for how thick the gel is. It does have a very good cooling effect even without putting it in the freezer & feels so nice! Even with how thick the gel is, it's still very flexible & the outer material is very soft, it's very comfortable. It fits snug, with light compression feeling, while not being too tight at all. I love the full coverage wrapping all the way around your head, so you're not holding anything in place & you don't have stay lying on your back with little movement; with this slipping over your head you still have full movement, you can roll around, lay on your side, etc. The full coverage is also perfect for blocking out all light, which is a must for me when I do get migraines. While I haven't had a chance to test this out with a migraine yet, I can say without a doubt this will be helpful in alleviating the symptoms for sure. And I can recommend this for all of the benefits above, I think the price is absolutely worth it.
I originally bought this for migraines however it has easily turned into an every night sleep mask! The cap fits just right and has a cool feel even on days I dont put it in the freezer
This migraine relief cap is really nice to have when a headache starts coming on. The gel zones around the forehead and temples feel targeted, which is helpful since that’s usually where the pressure is worst. I like that it can be used cold or warm depending on what feels better. It’s soft enough to wear while lying down, and it doesn’t feel awkward like trying to balance an ice pack on your head.
Overview: This cooling cap fits comfortably and works well for head pressure days, and it's a good value overall, just let it air out a bit before first use.I've tried this migraine cap a few times now and it appears to be made of quality materials 🧊. The raised gel zones sit right over the forehead and temples, so the cooling actually lands where the pressure tends to build instead of spreading out over your whole head like a flat ice pack. It stretches enough to fit snug without feeling tight or stiff, more like a soft wrap than a rigid headband digging into your skull. It covers the eyes too, which makes it easy to just lie down and rest without holding anything in place 😴.This works fine, but let it air out for a couple days first, it can have a bit of a smell straight out of the packaging that fades pretty quickly with a little time. My advice would be to keep it in the freezer between uses so it's ready to grab the moment you feel pressure starting instead of scrambling for it mid headache. Value is pretty good since it doubles as both a cold and warm compress depending on what you need that day 🛌.
I like to regularly use a warm compress on my eyes to help with dry eyes and I've found that these styles of gel migraine caps are great for that. In contrast to some other migraine caps I've used before, however, I noticed that Comfytemp's cap is much thicker of a gel. This gives it a lot more thermal mass so it's effective at maintaining its temperature, whether hot or cold, for a lot longer. With another brand of migraine cap, I'd have to reheat the cap at least 2 or 3 times in order to last a full 15 minute session. Comfytemp's cap lasts the full 15 minutes and then some.In addition to having thicker gel in general, Comfytemp's cap has an extra hunk of contoured gel on the inside specifically for the forehead area. Other migraine caps I've used before were just a uniform sleeve all around, so I was pleasantly surprised to see this. The extra gel there really helps to make sure you're getting proper contact, and helps keep the mask in place. (In my case, sometimes I like to use that raised bit of gel for my eyes instead.) The cap is easy to slide over the top of my head and has plenty of stretch to fit comfortably. It had a bit of a chemical smell out of the box, but it airs out within an hour or so. I've tried using it both hot and cold and it's been extremely soothing for my head and eyes. For $20, this is a great migraine cap and mask that's good to reuse for years to come.
